St. Thomas women's tennis received the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Academic honor for the fifth consecutive year with its team grade-point average of 3.41 for 2013-14.
Coach Terry Peck had seven of his Tommies qualify for ITA individual honors with gpas of 3.50 or higher for the last academic year -- senior Rachel Wright; juniors Brittany Alexander, Kara Lefsrud and Kathleen Murphy; sophomores Bridget Noack and Elizabeth Ternant; freshman Jessie O’Brien
The Tommies’ 15-4 overall record included an 8-2 MIAC regular-season mark. Lefsrud and Noack made ITA All-America in doubles.
St. Thomas was among 87 Division III women's teams that received the ITA academic honor.
